This is the classical Marxist argument, right? I actually don’t disagree with it. However, life isn’t perfect, and it’s often the case that we just have to choose the lesser evil, especially where the lesser evil can be tamed (with UBI and social programs) and also come with other benefits (like innovation, and a lack of need for central planning, which is good for freedom).
