The DNC has a lot of problems. But we should also critically examine the Left. Upon learning about the exclusion of AOC, Yang and Gabbard, the Left almost exclusively fought for AOC only. Yang only gained his spot after the Yang Gang (not necessarily all left-wing) and the Asian American community (an important election battleground) advocated on his behalf. Almost nobody fought for Tulsi.

The activist Left have spoken loud and clear with its actions. They much prefer AOC over Yang or Gabbard. In fact they are already talking about AOC as a presidential candidate in 2024, completely snubbing Yang, who is also very likely to run. The activist Left prefers culture war and identity politics, and AOC dedicated a substantial chunk of her DNC speech to those things, in contrast to Yang's pragmatic economic pitch in his speech. The activist Left clearly chooses the side of the culture wars. Their choice is very disappointing.
