Thanks for your perspective. My simple answer is a woman is a person who functions as what is commonly understood to be a woman in the relevant context. Therefore, a trans woman (who presents and behaves like a woman) is a woman for social purposes, but not for biological purposes.

I think this is the best definition I can come up with. But again, not everyone will agree. I have truly given up hope that there will be any agreement on this issue within my lifetime.
