Right now, many trans people are still reporting significant barriers to the basics of life like employment and housing, and certain reforms could help them integrate better into society. As for the specifics of those reforms, I think it's something people should discuss, and the needs and concerns of all need to be taken into account, so I'm not going to specifically demand a particular way of doing things before these discussions have taken place. What I do want is to open a good faith discussion on all sides. And when specific concerns and proposals are raised, I will answer them in good faith, like what I did with Andrew Sullivan's proposal for a compromise last year, which I found very reasonable on the whole.
