Perhaps it's a definition problem. People like Chomsky and Galloway are the old far-left, and I have plenty of respect for them re being anti-war despite not always agreeing with them. What I'm looking at here is the new far-left, the so-called 'woke' activists that are stereotypically found on college campuses, who actually have a much stronger influence on the politics of young people (the group that could make or break Biden this year) than the old far-left.
Re free speech I was not so much talking about things like the establishment vs Assange, but more like the new speech taboos being erected by the new far-left, which actually has a much more pervasive effect.
