My view is that gender isn't a social construct, based on scientific understanding. Social constructs can be 'real', but gender still isn't a social construct.
I have tried to tell conservatives that there isn't a 'trans ideology', and trans people ain't responsible for queer theory ideology. Debunking the problematic claims of queer theory is part of this work.
I have to be honest that, as a liberal (in the philosophical sense), I don't believe in the 'systems of oppression' worldview. However, the liberal worldview itself already offers plenty of ammunition to fight for minority rights. It is also the liberal worldview that will be the most effective in fighting what I see are the arguments of the next wave of authoritarian conservatism, seen in the works of thinkers like Ahmari and Deneen and the leaked SCOTUS abortion opinion alike. All I ask is for people further left of liberalism to give the liberal way a chance, to approach it with an open mind.
