I've noticed many people, in this site and elsewhere, who are against the Harper's letter trying to discredit it using the usual New Far-Left arguments. But there IS a 'culture war' going on between liberals (the ideological descendents of Locke, Mill and America's founding fathers) vs radical critical theory people (the ideological descendents of Marcuse and Foucault), as I put it in this article:
It's not even about Trump. He will be more likely than not irrelevant by next year, but this culture war will still go on. There's a fundamental incompatibility in worldview, even among those who profess to support social justice and oppose Trumpism. There's no shying away from that.
