Interesting take. However, let's look at these two examples:

1) Bernie style socialism increases the size of the state, with no intention of going towards any 'stateless society'. It means the size of the state will just be permanently increased. Using your scale, Bernie is right wing!

2) On the other hand, the Liberatarian Party advocates cutting government almost everywhere. And they really mean it, unlike the Republicans. It may not be anarchism, but it's pretty close. So the Libertarians are far-left!

A new kind of spectrum where Bernie is right-wing and Libertarians are far-left, is interesting. Perhaps it will shake up the staleness of politics.
