I think we need to move away from the greed is good type of mindset, and back to the real classical liberal values actually advocated by thinkers like Adam Smith and JS Mill, complete with a strong social safety net that is adequate for 21st century needs. But it should be liberalism that we return to, not some collectivist utopian solution.

Furthermore, I refuse to accept climate alarmism. I agree that we need to take strong action on climate change for the sake of future generations, but this shouldn’t overshadow our basic social and political values. Climate change is real, but our whole lives shouldn’t revolve around it!
