I really don’t know where Arielle Scarcella is going with her politics, and I don’t endorse TERFism (if that’s where she’s going), but it is a fact that many LGBT people seem to be turned off by the ‘queer left’. The same people may in fact support ‘the left’ in other aspects of life (e.g. agree with Democrats or even Berniecrats on most things) but just don’t like the ‘queer left’ that is probably embodied by the ContraPoints character ‘Tabby’. The problem is that they get confused and sometimes think the MAGA right is better for them, perhaps out of frustration of how the left expects LGBT people to be like. Perhaps these people should be acknowledged and made more ‘welcome’ on the left, if you don’t want them to go full MAGA.

As for Mayor Pete, many of those aforementioned ‘left but not queer left’ LGBT people seem to be his biggest supporters, and some of them are with Biden now, it seems. It appears that Pete may have prevented some people from going MAGA.

p.s. TERFism is a left-wing ideology, because it’s based in Marxian ideas. It’s not conservative at all.
