I guess the reason why we call it 'gender dysphoria' is because it's always been used this way, and changing terminology now could add to confusion which would not be good for understanding. I would be especially wary of changing terminology right now, when misinformation (and even conspiracy theories) about trans people is so rampant. The terminology might not be perfect, but it has a long history of usage, and most people seem to understand it just fine.
