Firstly, I don't agree with Megyn Kelly's approach. It's only going to make things worse. Imagine a future where using preferred pronouns is symbol of being Democrat, and not using them is a symbol of being Republican. That would ensure another one or two generations of hyperpolarization.

Secondly, I agree with most of the concerns you have raised, at least to some degree. We need to de-polarize and de-politicize all this so we can rationally discuss these issues again. This is actually what I meant by 'make trans normal again'.
