First, I must say that I am a staunch opponent of all 'critical' philosophy, because I believe basing your politics on something without adequate objective/empirical evidence is a big mistake. Also, trans people are currently suffering from a movement of backlash, and we need the quickest path to securing trans rights. We have no interest in being part of anyone else's revolution. My model for trans rights is based on the liberal model pioneered by the marriage equality movement, and I will not give up that fight. If 'critical' philosophy and/or gender abolitionism get in our way or cause trans people to lose our rights, I will surely speak up against it. I will not be charitable to anything that causes my community to suffer, even if it is supposedly 'progressive'. This applies to gender critical feminism, queer theory and gender abolitionism alike, which are also more similar than most people would admit.

I do not have anything against non-binary people or non-transitioning trans people. I believe the validity of their identities can be found in science. They don’t need critical philosophy either.
