As far as I'm aware, the real definition of transmedicalism is 'you need dysphoria to be trans'. Many pre-op and non-op trans people actually identify as transmed. Very few transmeds believe that 'a legitimate trans person has to undergo full medical and surgical transition to be authentic' these days. The number of people with the latter view has actually been on the decline in the trans community. I know because I used to argue with them frequently 10-15 years ago, when they were a significant force in the community. Those days are over, it seems.
