A simple Google search, or even just reading the Wikipedia article, would reveal that CRT is not just about accurately assessing American history. It is a comprehensive worldview based on critical theory, itself a far-left philosophical invention imported from Europe. One of its main purposes is to discredit liberalism and core classical liberal values. Its adoption would make society less free as a result.

While some dishonest actors on the right (which I have called out again and again) have conflated CRT with all sorts of things they don't like, it doesn't change the facts about what CRT is. Just because the right is opposed to something doesn't automatically make it good or progressive.

Also, sometimes I've reflexively used 'left' to mean far-left, because way too often, you see far-leftists claiming Biden, Hillary and other liberals are 'not left', and I've sort of subconsciously adopted the way they categorize politics. Anyway, my work is aimed at defending liberalism from both the far-left and the far-right. The West must remain liberal, or terrible things will happen.
